Well I think this saying has proved its meaning awhile ago in our basketball match..

The Beginning..

I am a Paulinian.. That's why in our Intramurals, I belonged to the MaLing, the fusion of Marconi and Pauling.. Well, before I tell you what the saying above is all about, I'll have a recap of the tournaments MaLing has participated in throughout the day..

Volleyball

Boys:

• Paul Agra-no comment
• Jayvee Tabal-okay
• Dante Reyes-the outside boy
• Hindi ko siya kilala-no comment
• Lincoln Sam Disu-terrible, but made a good move at the end of the game
• Claude Payad-the savior of MaLing, ace/mvp player of volleyball

Girls:

• Celis Embuscado-mvp of the group
• Fatima Gonzales-magaling
• Hazel-good server/player
• Anika-the same with hazel
• Venice-magaling but sometimes outside
• Desiree-okie
• Patricia Di-okie

The Maling boys won but unfortunately for the girls, who have done a good fight, have lost. It's okay.

Badminton:

• Jana Tendencia-singles
• Krister Roquel-singles
• Biboi-doubles
• Roniel Tribo-doubles

Jana due to the blinding sunshine has found it hard to keep up with the game. But she is great, I tell you. Krister won. Roniel and Biboi have done a good fight and they won!!!

Chess:

• Jeric Badion
• Daniel Tayamora

Basketball:

• Mark James Garcia-magaling yan kht payabang.. pnagkaisahan kaya grumadweyt.. wala siyang kasalanan..
• Julius Ace Calayan-magaling rin yan noh.. magaling pang mag-shoot..
• Itoh-ahsus.. nakakita ka ba ng malabo na singkit pa, medyo chubby pero astigin mag-shoot..
• Ralph-magaling kumuha ng bola... oh di ba?
• JD-napagtripan.. foul daw..
• Dan-dan-bano yan.. kaya sa huli.. joke!!! peace... marunong yan noh..
• Jake-bano rin ata toh eh, marunong din naman ata toh eh.
• Prince-maliit yan.. ewan.. hnd nmn naglaro eh..
• Erald-bano yan.. at least may effort..
• Jaycee Javier-green day wannabe.. ayos..
• sorry if i forgot somebody..

The Highlight..

We've got a great team.. Mayabang sila, I admit, pero anak naman ng itlog, pupusta ako magagaling sila, may maipagyayabang sila lalo na yung First 5 (Mark James, Itoh, Ace, Ralph, Jaycee).. Nung una maganda.. But as the game progresses... Of course may nakakashoot... So if the score is in favor of one team the other team will do their best to get past it? Right? But the problem is as the game progresses.. the friction also increases... Maraming nayabangan kay Mark James and sa kanyang company so nag-init yung kabilang team..

Dirty Tactics..

Of course not all the games are clean. Maghanap kayo ng walang bahid ng dumi magbabayad ako ng isang libo!!! Nakakaasar kasi napakadumi nilang maglaro!!! I hate PtoLinna!!! Why? They're such good a ctors.. Aarte arte para mag-foul at mag-penalty.. Fine it's right.. Madumi silang maglaro okay!!! Pero tambangan ba naman ng referees na biased....??? Pinag-initan si Mark at Ace... Hanggang grumadweyt si Mark!!! ASAR!!! Pinag-iinitan kasi... Pati si Ace.. hay naku..

And The Game Got Dirtier..

It was a time... Kung baga parang so volleyball eh deuce.. So there was a 5 minutes overtime... Pero sa 5 minutes.. gosh!!! Everything got dirtier!!! Puro MaLing ang may violation at fouls.. Kahit na pagtayo lng at hawak yung bola na hindi gumagalaw.. Traveling!!! Hahaha!!! Eh mga lol pala kayo eh!!!! Pagtripan daw ba ang 2nd year!!!???!!! Natalo man kami.... Ok lng... Alam namin kng cno ang totoong winner!!!

The Verdict...

It doesn't necessarily mean that you are great you'll be the winner. What if there are so many obstacles? And those obstacles are so powerful that even your best cannot make through it? So what kung kami yung magaling????Kung mismo referee at commitee ay sandamukal na bias????....  Alam naman namin kung sino ang totoong winner!!!

It's about showing them that you are clean among the rest..

It's about proving them that you rule...

Because you are honest and fair unlike those fools...

So what if they win?
